Appy Nu Jeers!

Had a pretty mellow night ringing in the new year. Tony and I went to a cook-out with some friends and then went over to our church for a dessert theater around 10pm. The play was hilarious! It was all about Y2K and the crazy things that people did to prepare for it!
I'm pretty excited about the fresh start that the new year will offer. I'll finish out this school year teaching 1st grade and launching my photography business. I'm so nervous about that---I hate doing things where I don't know the outcome. But, this is what I LOVE to do. I just need balance. I tend to throw myself into things full-force when its my passion. I would never want this passion to satiate my love for Jesus. When my relationship with Him becomes anything but my first priority, life gets out of wack and I start living for myself--and believe me, that means lots of self-centeredness!! So, I'm committing it all to Him and we'll see where I am this time next year:)
I do have some resolutions (which is another thing i hate doing---"resolutions" sounds like goals to me, and I've never been good at those)

1. Read the Word in the morning--not during my break during the school day. I definetly notice a big difference when I read in the morning--it sets the pace for my whole day, my attitude and outlook are 10x better.

2. Be a better housekeeper---this will be REALLY hard---I've very much enjoyed being independent this past year (being out of my parents house when i got married) and no mom to tell me when to clean my room! So, that's left me with a big mess most of the time. Being sloppy doesn't just affect my house, but my character.

3. Get in better shape! First off, if you'd ask me if I'd ever make a resolution to lose weight about 5 years ago....I would've laughed. I never had issues with my weight---but, apparently, my metabolism has decided to slow down as I have decided to be inactive most of the time! I would love to take off the added weight this year and get in better shape just to be healthy. Maybe putting this on the internet will help me be more proactive about this--and the mini-trampoline my grandma got me for Christmas!!!

these are the ones that have been in the forefront of my mind lately. I know there are other things that I would like the Lord to do in my life this coming year and I want to be the most open and senstive to those things!

Happy New Year---Many blessings!!
