Showcasing Totally Awesome BAGS!

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

I wanted to make mention of this way cool company called RetroActif. I have it featured in my "Eye Candy" section (something I try to update from time to time) over to the right side of my blog, but I felt like this company needed a little more attention. You can buy their bags straight from their website. I got mine, however, at that store I raved about on St. Simons.

Each bag is made from recycled pole banners. You know, those posters you see (mainly in big cities) advertising cultural and/or music events posted on walls and poles? That's what I'm talking about. They take them down and make them into ridiculously good looking bags. I've just used mine traveling to Honduras and it definitely came in handy.

RetroActif also supports the non-profit organization "Room to Read" which supports literacy training in developing countries in a variety of ways. Check 'em out!

p.s. more pics from my trip coming soon!
