Thankful for Freedom

Friday, July 4, 2008

I hope everyone out there had a great 4th of July! It is probably my 2nd favorite holiday (Christmas being number 1) b/c I get to spend it with family on St. Simons. I leave early in the morning to go back home, but only for less than 24 hours before I fly out for Honduras. I feel like I'm in a whirlwind! This vacation has been great and seemingly short. That's how it always ends up: work week, looonnnggg....vacation, short! I do feel rejuvenated though! Oh, how I wish we could have a 2nd home here and come once a month! I love this place that much. It creates such a feeling of nostalgia and excitement for me since I've been coming to this little island since I was a baby. Here's some pictures to showcase some of my week.....

this little girl was the best! no, she wasn't saying the pledge of allegiance or saluting the flag....she was singing her heart out and performing to whatever song was running through her head! I guess you had to be there.....
