Lilybelle is doing so wonderful since she got her cast off. She's slowly starting to put pressure on it and begin gaining more mobility and flexibility. I'm so thrilled because I really thought the physical therapy part would be a long road. But, I've been taking her on frequent brisk walks to work it out!
Also, I made a HUGE investment last week in purchasing a lens that I've been eyeing for awhile. It's my first Canon "L series" lens and it's looking like it will not disappoint. It was funny because I've been solely working with prime lenses for a long while now and it was definitely an adjustment with this new, heavier zoom. I kept trying zoom by adjusting the focus ring instead of the zoom! But, I am loving it! Here are some of the first pictures I took with it. Lilybelle was getting ready for bed (in her PJ's!) and I made her go outside and pose for me! I also took some of her with my new scarf (i did one last year and fell in love with it!)
Other exciting stuff: I had my first corporate shoot today for Select Specialty Hospital. They produce a "former patient" calendar once a year of all their success stories from across the country. Augusta was chosen for one of the stories and I was able to photograph the patient today. It was a wonderful opportunity, and the patient was such a pleasure to meet!
FYI: I will be out of the office beginning around lunch time tomorrow traveling to Anniston, AL to photograph one of my dear friend's wedding. Looking forward to seeing her big day!
Last thing: I debated whether or not I wanted to post anything about the election. However, after you watch this think about what it would be like if your mother thought you were punishment. VOTE LIFE!
Exciting Stuff!
