A slice of my passion: Brock Family

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

I wish right now that I was an awesome writer and could put into words just how I feel about this session. I LOVE it SO much! Angi (the mom) emailed me a few months back about doing a family session (normal-i love family sessions!) because they had just adopted a little girl (okay, screaming with excitement at this point!!). I'm so passionate about adoption, and I hope to be able to do this with Tony one day. I don't really know why it tugs at my heart so much, but I see it as one of the highest forms of love a human can offer to another. To me, it's a parallel of how I got adopted into my heavenly Father's family once I received Jesus as my savior. God offers us adoption into His family (the ultimate acceptance!) and feels just as strongly about us as He does His own Son.

So, needless to say I was on edge for awhile before this session because I wanted everything to go perfect! Once I met little Haley (yep, spelled the same as me!) I just melted. She was playful, shy, dramatic, funny, beautiful...and she was unconditionally loved and accepted by her awesome mom, dad, and sister. I hope hope hope that I captured just an ounce of the love that I felt from this family.

If you or anyone you know is adopting/just finished adopting....please pass me their info. or them my info. All session fees are waived for newly adopted family sessions.

i know this one is grainy and blurry--but, i couldn't throw it out. I remember how much fun she was having when Angi was doing this.

Wow, your photos are so amazing! Too bad you are not in New England..The family I nanny for is finalizing their adoption either this month or next of three spunky children, beautiful children. They became a family four years ago when the children were placed as fosters, and its just now becoming official. The mom and I were taking last night and I told her "we HAVE to do adoption pictures of you and the kids" I figured I do it as we dont really know who else would. Im also a huge fan of adoption. I think its absalutly beautiful adn its how Ive alwasy planned to build my family. Im mostly interested in sibling groups from foster care...

Oddly, I didnt find you by looking for any of the above interests, but rather becasue I was just making my profile and looked for other people interested in "missions." I love you blog.

These pictures are fabulous, and tug at my heart, since I'm an adoptee. :) What an amazing heart you have!
