I was so nervous for this shoot! I admit I do have nerves before every shoot that I do. Right before, I have all these thoughts like "what if I can't come up with anything creative?" or "what if something happens and I can't get my equipment to work right?" but, it's even more nerve-racking when you are photographing another photographer! Candice and Daniel make up The Beautiful Mess. I'm sure you've heard me talk about them before on the blog. They are such a fun and generous couple, making a great team in life and in photography. I was honored when Candice told me her mom wanted some family portraits and wondered if I would be up for it. YES! If you follow their blog, you may know that Candice and Daniel are in the process of adopting a baby (hello, they keep getting cooler in my book!) so her mom really wanted to capture the family as they are before the grandchild comes into the picture. We had a blast! Or, at least I did and they were pretending for my sake :) No, really they had me laughing so hard just seeing all their personalities working together. They are so open and relaxed in each other's company.
Hope you all enjoy the eye candy below (tried to include lots of it!). It was a privilege to hang with you guys! Everyone, check out Candice and Daniel's work...you won't be disappointed! Plus, Candice just came back from a rockstar of a workshop so if you thought they were slammin' before, they are about to be over the top!
Their idea, and I love it!
MAMACITA!
What did the Brown Chicken say to the Brown Cow? BROWNCHICKENBROWNCOW (hehe, get it?)
No, really...I can't decide...black and white or color?

Brunson Family
Tuesday, July 28, 2009
What a great family that I had the opportunity to hang with last saturday. These guys hail from the Roll Tide state, so it was Veronica's sister that hooked up the shoot. We need more sisters in the world like that! (wink, wink! Thanks, Christy!) The boys had me crackin' up, and it was so funny to see how different there personalities were. And their daughter...Rivers was her name! People who know me, know that I LOVE that name! If I have a daughter someday, that's what I want to name her. Hopefully the images will speak for themselves in showing off this great family!

I had a ton of FUN hanging out with Rachel, her husband, and brothers and sisters. I met Rachel last year when I did some couples photos for her and then fiance. But, now she's all married and living in CA. (can i visit?) Before the shoot, Rachel informed me that her and her family have never had a FAMILY PHOTO together!! Whaaaa?? Well, I think that's because my business wasn't around when they were growing up.....or maybe not! Whatever the reason, she gathered them all up when she got home and we did this as a surprise for her mom and dad! How cool is that....I can't say it enough--I love surprise shoots! Wish I could see her mom and dad's face when they see their kids images :)
i LOVE jumping shots!! Look how much air time Benjamin is getting!
hhmmm-mmmm this little cutie stole my heart!
Here's the lady who got them all together
Beautiful people!

Delicious Products: Guest Sign-in Album
Friday, July 24, 2009
I was able to create this little baby for Evin and Charis' wedding, and it turned out fabulous! I love these albums anyway, so to make one that can function as a guest sign-in book was the best idea yet! It's so different, and it can showcase your engagement session (which is what is pictured here, from their NYC engagement session!)
I think these albums can also be used at other parties or showers for guests to sign in and leave a fun message. This is way funner to look at! Wish I had this when I got married!
